Still a bit tired, and still have a grumbly tummy -- but the worst right now is mouth sores, which are changing the way food tastes, hurt, etc. Potato chips, for instance, not only hurt to crunch -- they don't taste good, since the fat makes them too acid. Walnuts the same.
Baking soda rinses help, and in general I am eating (though way less than usual, not a bad thing.) I am managing apples, because now is Fresh Cortland Apple season. :)
And I am starting to feel some strength. I hope to get some yard work done tomorrow, as well as some shopping for a new trash barrel!
Tsvi suggests Biotene mouthwash, which has no alcohol, and Biotene toothpaste (doesn't foam, which means it doesn't hurt your mouth sores), if you don't already know about it. He still uses them both. Unfortunately, they are not cheap, but they gave him a lot of relief.
ReplyDeleteThanks, this is very timely! I use a baking-soda toothpaste, so the bubbles are rather a help than not, at least at this point. But I sure could use a soothing mouthwash.
ReplyDeleteI have been out of touch for too long, L! You've been through quite an... adventure. For lack of a better word. I haven't a clue what you're going through, but it reads like you have an awesome support group surrounding you.
ReplyDeleteRest, dear. Take the time to heal. Let everyone help you who wants to - it will help them feel less helpless. And smile. Think of what Joyce would say...? Something totally irreverent, I'm sure. :) But she'd make you laugh.
